Frequently asked questions.

Whether you're booking private care or exploring a workforce health partnership, we've answered the questions we're asked most often.

Section one

For individuals

Private physiotherapy at home or online, delivered by senior clinicians.

  • Do I need a GP referral?

No — a GP referral is not usually required. Most patients book with Remedly directly.

If you're claiming through private medical insurance, your insurer may have its own referral process. It's worth checking with them before booking.

  • What happens during my first appointment?

Your first appointment is unhurried. Your clinician will take a full history, discuss what you want to get back to, carry out a hands-on examination and share a working diagnosis.

You'll leave with a clear, personalised plan — including treatment on the day where appropriate.

  • Do you provide home visits?

Yes. Home visits are available in selected UK locations, including Telford, Shrewsbury, Church Stretton and London.

Learn more about home visit physiotherapy, or explore our locations.

  • Do you offer virtual appointments?

Yes. Virtual physiotherapy is available UK-wide and works well for many musculoskeletal conditions — including back, neck and shoulder pain, exercise progression, and post-operative reviews.

    See how virtual physiotherapy works.

  • Which areas do you cover?

Home visits cover Telford, Shrewsbury, Church Stretton, London and the wider Shropshire and Greater London regions. Virtual care is available across the UK.

View all of our covered locations.

  • How quickly can I be seen?

Appointments are usually available within a few days, depending on your location and clinician availability. Same-day virtual appointments are often possible.

  • How long are appointments?

Appointment length depends on the type of assessment and clinical need. Initial home visit assessments are typically 90 minutes; follow-ups and virtual sessions are shorter and focused.

  • What conditions do you treat?

    Common conditions we treat include:

    • Back pain and sciatica
    • Neck and shoulder pain
    • Knee and hip pain
    • Arthritis and joint pain
    • Sports injuries
    • Post-operative rehabilitation
    • Balance and mobility concerns
  • How many appointments will I need?

Treatment recommendations are always individual. After your assessment, your clinician will share a realistic plan — including how many sessions are likely to help and when to review.

  • Can I combine home visits with virtual appointments?

Yes. Many patients benefit from a blended approach — hands-on home visits for assessment and treatment, with virtual sessions for progression and review.

  • How much does private physiotherapy cost?

Initial home visit assessments start from £375. Ongoing care is available through membership from £199 per month where clinically appropriate.

See full details on the private care page.

  • Are your clinicians qualified?

Every Remedly clinician is HCPC registered, a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy where appropriate, fully insured and enhanced DBS checked.

  • What if I need to cancel?

Appointments can be rescheduled or cancelled with reasonable notice. Full details are set out in our terms and conditions.

  • How do I book?

You can book by getting in touch via our contact page. A member of the team will confirm availability, pricing and next steps — usually the same working day.

Section two

For employers

Proactive workforce health partnerships that sit upstream of PMI and occupational health.

  • What is a Workforce Health Partnership?

A Workforce Health Partnership is a proactive clinical relationship. Instead of waiting for problems to escalate, Remedly sits upstream — treating early, preventing loss of productivity and giving leaders anonymised insight into workforce health.

Learn more about our approach for employers.

  • What is the Workforce Health Pilot?

The Workforce Health Pilot is how most organisations begin working with us — a structured, short engagement that combines clinical days with an Executive Workforce Health Report. See the Pilot Programme.

  • How long does a pilot last?

Pilot duration is always tailored — to workforce size, locations and objectives. Most engagements run over a small number of clinical days across a defined period, with reporting at the end.

  • Can you visit our workplace?

Yes. Remedly delivers care on-site at your workplace, virtually and via home visits — often in combination. One clinical model, one standard of care.

  • Do employees need GP referrals?

No. Employees can usually access care directly.

  • Can employees book appointments themselves?

Yes. Depending on the partnership design, employees can self-book via a private link, request care through HR, or be triaged directly by our clinical team.

  • What happens after the pilot?

Every pilot concludes with an Executive Workforce Health Report and clear partnership recommendations — including whether an ongoing programme is the right next step, and at what scale.

  • What reports do employers receive?

    Employers receive:

    • Workforce health trends
    • Anonymised clinical insights
    • Recommendations
    • Clear next steps

Individual clinical data is never shared with employers.

  • Do you replace Occupational Health?

No. Remedly complements existing occupational health services — delivering earlier clinical intervention and proactive workforce support upstream of assessment-heavy processes.

  • Can you support multiple sites?

Yes. Programmes can be delivered across multiple sites — one clinical model, one reporting layer, one standard of care.

  • Which industries do you work with?

Remedly supports organisations of all sizes and sectors — from professional services and technology to logistics and healthcare.

  • How does pricing work?

Every partnership is tailored. Pilot programmes begin from £950. Ongoing partnerships are quoted following a discovery conversation — see the Pilot Programme or get in touch.
